Mechanical Organic - Disrepair Part Three; Genesis Of A Germ
Reviewed by Eddie Risdal in 7/15/2010

Australian Eddie Katz is upon us with another release, and like last time he has his helpers, Connie D on guitars and Evan Harris on bass and various, while mr Katz handles the rest himself. Since this only seems to be just another song in my ears it feels like a step in the wrong direction, as I was hoping for some improvements. First and foremost on the production side. The sound is still not top notch and this holds back the listening experience a lot. Also Katz' vocal performance could have been better. He sounds monotonous and static and after some minutes it actually is a relief when the sampled dialogue between a reporter and a researcher who has found proof that diseases like HIV and other have been put to scene by governments. This is a serious allegation but she list a number of proofs for that this is true. And the concept and the story here is what keeps the interest, because that is the really strong part in the project, sadly the music that surrounds it makes it easlily forgettable. Too bad, as I really want to like this. There are a lot of good ideas, only realized in the wrong way.

The cover art should have some credit though, as it is tasteful, original and comes in a DVD case, at least the promo version of it.
